About the position

The Member Services Officer at Southwest Airlines Federal Credit Union is a key role responsible for providing exceptional service to members through inbound calls regarding their account and loan needs. This position emphasizes building relationships, multitasking, and maintaining organization in a fast-paced environment while adhering to the credit union's policies and procedures. The role also includes opportunities for incentives based on performance metrics such as attendance and sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Opening, closing, and maintaining member accounts
  • Referring loan products
  • Assisting members with bookkeeping and checking account issues
  • Educating members on applicable products to enhance their banking experience
  • Actively marketing and cross-selling current and new products and services of the credit union
  • Resetting mobile application and website logins
  • Helping with bill payer questions and troubleshooting basic website issues

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a Call Center environment
  • 1 to 3 years of financial experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of using a computer and familiar with Call Center Software, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively suggest new products and services
  • Ability to multitask and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to troubleshoot, take ownership, problem-solve, and follow-through
