About the position
The position involves promoting a Judgement Free Zone at Planet Fitness, representing the company's core values, and ensuring business drivers such as customer service, cleanliness, and a comfortable atmosphere are upheld during each scheduled shift. The role is focused on maintaining club standards, providing excellent customer service, and assisting with operational tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform to the best of abilities during assigned work shifts.
- Monitor and maintain club cleanliness and atmosphere.
- Stay proficient in Planet Fitness mobile app use, content, and updates.
- Ensure all proper training has been completed to operate safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure the club is presentable and meets Excel standards.
- Perform club walkarounds and complete assigned cleaning tasks, re-inspecting as necessary.
- Utilize point of sale for members to purchase drinks and merchandise items.
- Ensure members adhere to company policies and guidelines, addressing any infractions.
- Provide a safe and secure environment for all members.
- Communicate with members and create a high level of customer service.
- Stock retail and janitorial items for the following shift.
- Understand and adhere to company standards, helping resolve day-to-day customer issues.
- Audit club inventory and communicate with GM, AM, and Shift Lead on inventory order recommendations.
- Stay up to date on all required certifications and training courses.
- Participate in team meetings.
- Communicate with, promote, tour, and assist prospects and potential members.
- Assist the General Manager and Assistant Manager with club membership promotions, training, and operational strategies.
- Ensure the club complies with all state and federal laws and insurance requirements.
- Operate and assist members with the use of equipment and amenities, ensuring adherence to processes and procedures.
- Assist GM and represent the company at community events and outreach activities.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Team member will become CPR and AED Certified, if not already.
- Must be comfortable standing for long periods of time.
- Great communication skills with internal and external customers.
- Must be team-oriented, motivated, and well-organized.
- Ability to think critically and evaluate solutions to problems proactively.
- Proficient ability in Microsoft Office and using a computer.
- Familiar with Excel's mission, values, vision, and culture, as well as the Planet Fitness brand and operational requirements.
