About the position

The Memory Care Director at The Residence at Charles Meadow is responsible for overseeing the Reflections Program, ensuring efficient operations and management of day-to-day functions. This role focuses on creating a therapeutic environment that promotes the physical, social, and psychological well-being of residents with memory impairments. The director will lead a team, manage budgets, and engage with families and the community to enhance the quality of care provided.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living.
  • Actively participate in growing community occupancy by engaging with potential residents and families.
  • Direct the overall management of the Reflections Program with administrative authority.
  • Manage the Reflections Program alongside the Residence Care Director.
  • Evaluate and assess the Reflections Program for growth opportunities.
  • Maintain departmental budgets and ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement processes and safety programs.
  • Plan and direct activities that meet the mental, physical, spiritual, and social needs of residents.
  • Coordinate family meetings and educational seminars.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to review prospective residents and outreach plans.
  • Provide necessary resources for Reflections Program associates to perform their duties efficiently.
  • Ensure proper training and orientation for staff caring for residents with Dementia.
  • Monitor resident care planning and communication among staff.
  • Establish relationships with community resources and coordinate interdisciplinary activities.
  • Document all Reflections Program services and manage transitions for residents.
  • Conduct timely associate reviews and ensure fair counseling and corrective actions.
  • Review incident reports and implement changes to minimize future issues.
  • Ensure staffing schedules are met and participate in the Manager-on-Duty Program.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience with the memory impairment population and supervisory management skills.
  • Knowledge of care for seniors with dementia according to LCB Senior Living Policy and state standards.
  • Experience in human service management, housing management, or nursing home management is helpful.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with office software, including word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and emergency situations calmly.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in human service management or nursing home management.
  • Certificates or education as required by State/Federal regulatory agencies.
