Join Our Team: Mental Health Therapist (Psychologist, LMSW, LLMSW, or LPC) Full-Time or Part-Time Opportunities! At Galaxy Brain and Therapy Center, we believe in living your best life—and we want that for our clients and our team. We are currently seeking a Mental Health Therapist (fully licensed or limited licensed) to join our growing galaxy of clinicians. Our clients are resilient individuals seeking positive change, often navigating the stress of a chronic injury/illness, chronic pain, executive dysfunction, anxiety, PTSD, and more. Responsibilities

  • Provide individual therapy virtually and in person to adults (option to work with teens and children if preferred)
  • Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration with other Galaxy providers
  • Use evidence-based interventions to support recovery and mental health
  • Empower clients to move forward in their lives with clarity, purpose, and joy
  • Maintain accurate documentation with compassion and professionalism

Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
  • Must hold (or be eligible for) licensure in the state of Michigan: Psychologist (PhD or PsyD), Licensed or Limited Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW or LLMSW), Licensed or Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC or LLPC)
  • Must be in good standing with the appropriate Michigan licensing board
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred (supervised internship experience accepted for LLMSW/LLPC applicants)
  • Experience working with adults and/or teens with trauma, anxiety, depression, executive function challenges, chronic pain, or post-concussion syndrome preferred
  • Experience with or openness to interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Strong foundation in evidence-based therapy practices (CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, etc.)
  • Trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming approach
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Skilled in building therapeutic relationships rooted in safety, trust, and compassion
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and organized with timely documentation habits
  • Willingness to participate in team consultation, continuing education, and collaborative problem-solving

  • Comfort with electronic medical records and telehealth platforms (training provided)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and all ethical guidelines
