About the position

Johnson & Johnson (J&J) is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to support the Mentor End-to-End Supply Chain, based in Irving, Texas. This role is pivotal in providing informed financial and business leadership to drive both short- and long-term strategies for the Mentor Supply Chain. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Director of E2E Supply Chain and will be a key member of the Mentor Supply Chain leadership team. This position is characterized by high visibility and significant opportunities to influence the strategy of a market-leading franchise within J&J MedTech. The role encompasses financial planning, management reporting, and ensuring financial integrity across Mentor Supply Chain operations, which includes delivering financial counsel and insights to manage risk, improve gross profit, and drive strategic decisions. The Mentor team is dedicated to delivering innovative products and solutions that address unmet customer and patient needs globally. The role involves leading a diverse team of 9 associates, supporting two internal manufacturing sites and a network of global third-party suppliers and distribution operations. The Senior Finance Manager will develop and implement organizational designs that support global business partners, set functional goals aligned with finance and business unit objectives, and foster an environment for professional growth among staff. This includes providing actionable feedback, recognition, and coaching to support staff development and succession planning. In addition, the role requires orchestrating gross profit and cash flow improvements across Supply Chain and Commercial by driving value capture plans and related business cases. The Senior Finance Manager will coordinate core financial planning and reporting cycles, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. The position also involves performing external and internal benchmarking to enhance value and shape ERP functional design as the supply chain network evolves. Responsibilities

  • Lead a diverse team of 9 associates supporting 2 internal manufacturing sites and a network of global third-party suppliers and distribution operations.
  • Develop, adjust, implement, and maintain organizational design that supports global business partners in multiple locations worldwide.
  • Develop functional goals that are aligned with finance and business unit objectives.
  • Provide an environment for professional growth of staff, including actionable feedback, recognition, and rewards, as well as coaching and mentoring.
  • Manage End-to-End Supply Chain Finance for Mentor, overseeing ~$165MM COGS, ~$25MM Capex, and ~$125MM Inventory cashflow to enable ~$550MM Global Sales.
  • Provide direct finance counsel and leadership support to the Mentor E2E Supply Chain Senior Director and other key stakeholders.
  • Partner with the broader Mentor Supply Chain leadership team to formulate and drive strategic imperatives.
  • Orchestrate Gross Profit and Cashflow Improvement across Supply Chain and Commercial by driving the value capture plan and related business cases.
  • Coordinate core financial planning and reporting cycle consolidation and analysis on both a forecast and actual basis.
  • Encourage participation and adoption of various J&J Corporate and MedTech Finance culture, process, and technology initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls, GAAP, and local statutory compliance standards.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive and relevant finance experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of people management experience with a record of inspiring and developing talent.
  • Strong analytical, technical accounting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in integrating emerging digital technologies and tools to drive finance workload efficiencies.
  • Confidence in establishing and maintaining an effective internal control environment.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sophisticated business intuition and the ability to lead through ambiguity.
  • Strong networking and collaboration skills in a complex, international environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, including business writing and presenting.

Nice-to-haves

  • An MBA, CPA, CMA, or other financial certifications.
  • Solid understanding of cost accounting and project controlling principles.
  • Prior experience in driving manufacturing site start-up and network transformation.
  • Knowledge of ERP functionality and master data setup (JDE/SAP).
  • Prior healthcare or medical device industry experience.
