About the position
Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center, opening in early 2025, will be the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in over 20 years. This teaching hospital will integrate clinical care with existing providers, including The George Washington University Hospital and the Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. The hospital aims to establish a robust system of care for all District residents, particularly ensuring that residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high-quality care in their community. The facility will feature 136 beds (expandable to 184), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and delivery services, an ambulatory pavilion for physician offices and clinics, a community space, a 500-car garage, and a helipad for emergency transports.
Responsibilities
- Manage the overall delivery and quality of patient care in designated areas.
- Assist in developing and implementing performance initiatives.
- Ensure optimal patient safety outcomes and customer satisfaction.
- Manage daily work activities to ensure quality, productivity, and efficiency.
- Assist in accomplishing strategic and operational objectives.
Requirements
- DC RN license
- Bachelor's degree or higher in nursing
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to adapt to multiple changing priorities
- Ability to provide respectful and responsive care in clinical decision making.
