About the position

As an Operations Manager at Crothall Healthcare, you will play a crucial role in directing and overseeing the operational needs of the support services department. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate the tasks of frontline associates while serving as a liaison between administration and unit departments. This position is essential in ensuring that the highest possible level of service is provided to our clients in the healthcare industry. You will be involved in establishing and reviewing standards and work procedures for all staff, planning work and staffing schedules, and ensuring that adequate services are rendered at all times. In this role, you will assist in the hiring process, which includes interviewing, hiring, and training new associates. You will also be responsible for orienting, developing, and supervising all supervisory and housekeeping staff. Regular inspections of the facility will be part of your duties, where you will make recommendations for improvements. Monthly reporting of goals, accomplishments, and future plans will be required to keep track of the department's performance. Additionally, you will provide staff education and continuous training to ensure that all team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge. Effective communication with staff, administration, and other departments is vital in this position. You will also coordinate outside services such as pest control, window cleaning, medical and solid waste management, document destruction, and recycling programs. Your ability to multitask, establish priorities, and maintain organization in a changing and stressful environment will be key to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and annually review standards and work procedures for all staff.
  • Plan work and staffing schedules to ensure adequate services are rendered.
  • Assist in the hiring process, including interviewing, hiring, and training of new associates.

Requirements

  • 4 years of support services, military, housekeeping, and/or facilities maintenance experience.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a support service-related field with high customer/client contact.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations.
  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
  • Ability to maintain organization in a changing and stressful environment.
  • Exhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of contract administration and office procedures.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
