About The Position

The mid-level Java Developer position at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) involves working within an Agile team to develop and enhance software systems for a government customer. Requirements

• 3+ years of related experience in software development.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Server-side software development experience including configuration of web servers (IBM/Apache and IIS).
• Experience with web services implementation (SOAP and REST).
• Proficiency in SQL database usage, particularly MS SQL Server.
• Experience with XML processing and Java development using JUnit, Spring, Hibernate, and Log4j.
• Familiarity with Agile processes (Scrum or Kanban).
• Knowledge of tooling including Netbeans, Maven, Git, and Jira.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Smart card programming experience.
• Experience with SoapUI and Quartz Task Scheduler tools.
• Experience with .NET programming.
