About the position

As a Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer specializing in Nuclear Projects at Sargent & Lundy, you will have the opportunity to leverage your expertise in thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and power plant engineering. You will be responsible for preparing detailed calculations, evaluations, and technical reports that will support client recommendations and project reviews. In this position, you will collaborate closely with other Mechanical Engineers, engaging in system engineering tasks that include the design, modification, and analysis of mechanical systems within power plants. Your ability to conduct equipment sizing, optimization evaluations, and selection will be crucial in meeting the specific needs of each project. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews, as well as to plant site locations for meetings and field verification of designs. This travel aspect of the role will enhance your understanding of the practical applications of your engineering skills and provide valuable insights into client operations.

Responsibilities
