About The Position

The position provides oversight of the AWANA program at Prestonwood Baptist Church - North Campus ("PBC-NC"). This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation and growth of the Midweek ministry, which includes various responsibilities related to training, communication, and coordination with volunteers and parents.

Requirements

• Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of PBC-NC
• Beginner skills with Microsoft Office products
• Strong communication, both written and oral
• Knowledge of AWANA program preferred
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a face-paced environment
• Ability to learn and use church management system
• Able to perform physical activities that require moving one's whole body, such as walking, stooping, lifting, pushing/pulling a cart, and use of stairs, and to lift at least 30 lbs. without assistance

Responsibilities

• Oversee Midweek weekly ministry
• Lead Midweek training for PBC-NC
• Recruit, coordinate, and communicate with Midweek parents and/or volunteers
• Oversee communication to volunteers
• Work closely with the Communications department on all Midweek communications
• Prepare Midweek tracker sheets and record participant information weekly
• Ensure volunteer screening processes are followed
• Assist in enhancing and growing the AWANA program
• Coordinate with Children's staff regarding visitor information and parent involvement
• Work closely with Children's staff on any ministry needs
• Oversee and lead AWANA awards ceremony
• Other duties as assigned
