About The Position

The Military Senior Guest Advisor at GameStop is responsible for providing exceptional guest service experiences while utilizing GameStop's sales techniques. This role involves assisting guests with their gaming needs, supervising store activities, and ensuring a clean and organized shopping environment. The advisor will also support the store management team and contribute to building guest loyalty and repeat business.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and present state-required proof of age documents.
  • At least 1 year of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Proficient guest service skills and ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to operate POS computer system and complete required paperwork accurately.
  • Working understanding of basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Ability to lift merchandise weighing up to 20 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending and climbing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding guest service experiences using GameStop's Buy-Sell-Trade Model and Solution Selling techniques.
  • Promptly greet guests and respond to their questions and concerns courteously and effectively.
  • Process guest purchases and return transactions accurately via the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
  • Assist with supervising staffing levels to ensure optimum guest service at all times.
  • Drive sales and guest loyalty by creating complete, lasting guest solutions.
  • Promote GameStop's guest benefits, including the new title reservations program and Power Up Rewards loyalty program.
  • Support the store team by demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement and responding effectively to feedback.
  • Assist with training store associates in their job responsibilities and company policies.
  • Maintain awareness of associate and guest safety and address potentially hazardous situations.
  • Assist managers with store inventory counts and ensure products are well represented on the selling floor.
