About The Position

The Millwright position at Florida Crystals Corporation involves working under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure that equipment in the assigned area is maintained in optimal running condition. This role is critical in providing maintenance services throughout the refinery, performing mechanical troubleshooting, repairs, and routine maintenance tasks.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in industrial maintenance or service organization.
• Ability to work overtime, rotating shifts, and weekends regularly.
• Strong commitment to personal safety and the safety of others.
• Ability to perform tasks while wearing required PPE such as protective clothing, safety glasses/goggles, and steel-toed boots.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a unionized environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance services throughout the refinery.
• Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Conduct routine and preventative maintenance services, including troubleshooting, mechanical repairs, rigging, metal fabrication and repairs, pipe installation and repairs, and building crafts work.
• Perform cleaning and lubrication on mechanical equipment.
• Collaborate with other refinery maintenance and operations personnel to address everyday problems.
• Be assigned to one of the maintenance groups, which include refinery maintenance, warehouse, pipe/metal, building crafts, garage, and raw sugar maintenance.
