About the position

The Project Manager is responsible for leading and directing architectural and engineering (AE) project teams in all aspects of professional services. This role involves maintaining communication between the project team, clients, consultants, contractors, and relevant authorities. The Project Manager oversees project activities, ensuring compliance with client and contract requirements, project planning, staffing, and quality goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct AE project teams through all phases of a project including programming, schematic design, design development, construction document, and construction administration services.
  • Assist the Principal-in-Charge with the professional services proposal process and negotiate the Owner/Architect Agreement.
  • Prepare, implement, and monitor Project Plans and strategies.
  • Manage client activities and contracts, ensuring adherence to agreements.
  • Identify and secure additional service fees for activities outside the Owner/Architect Agreement.
  • Manage overall project schedule and coordinate short-term schedules and tasks with the project team.
  • Establish and monitor discipline hour budgets and staffing needs to meet profit goals.
  • Prepare contract forms for Owners and Consultants and monitor adherence to those contracts.
  • Schedule and manage required design and technical reviews throughout the project phases.
  • Participate in marketing efforts including client maintenance, proposals, and interviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Engineering.
  • Professional Licensure.
  • Minimum ten years' professional experience in AE or Client-Side Project Management.
  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of professional services from marketing through project close-out.
  • Experience in Mission Critical and/or Data Center design/development is strongly preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the coordination of all design disciplines.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

  • LEED Accredited certification preferred.
