About The Position

The ML Platform Engineer at Stitch Fix is responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure that supports machine learning across the organization. This role involves designing, developing, and supporting scalable services and frameworks for ML model training and deployment, while ensuring the smooth operation of existing systems and driving improvements. The engineer will collaborate with data scientists and engineers to solve complex challenges and contribute to the development of self-service tools that empower data scientists.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in software development with a focus on data and ML infrastructure.
• Proven track record of building scalable, distributed production systems.
• Exceptional coding and design skills, primarily in Python and Java.
• Proficiency in big data technologies such as Kafka, Spark, Hive/Iceberg, Postgres, and Redis.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or other cloud-based providers.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools.

Responsibilities
