About The Position

The Mobile Crisis Intervention Clinician at Riverside Community Care plays a crucial role in providing crisis intervention services to individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges. This position is part of a multi-disciplinary team within the Community Behavioral Health Center's Mobile Crisis Intervention program, which operates 24/7. The clinician will engage in crisis evaluation, stabilization, and follow-up, ensuring continuity of care for clients and acting as a liaison with community providers.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related human service field (license eligible).
  • Two years of experience in the field of mental health preferred, including internship experience.
  • At least one year of experience working with children, adolescents, and families preferred for mobile crisis intervention services to youth under 21.
  • Knowledge of and experience with substance use and co-occurring disorders preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer fluency including Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required for limited local travel.

Responsibilities

  • Provide crisis intervention services on-site, in the community, and in emergency departments.
  • Evaluate and stabilize individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use crises.
  • Participate in daily operations of the Mobile Crisis Intervention program.
  • Act as a liaison with community providers for continuity of care.
  • Provide ongoing support and evaluation of Community Crisis Stabilization Unit consumers.
  • Conduct telephone triage as needed.
