About The Position

The Mobile Engineer role at CBRE Global Workplace Solutions involves performing complex preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, systems, and equipment across multiple sites. The position requires advanced skills in various trades and the ability to work under limited supervision while ensuring compliance with safety and building codes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 4 years of related experience and/or trade school training.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record with periodic checks.
  • Possess necessary skills to functionally operate a full-size van/truck.
  • Licensure as required by Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
  • Universal CFC certification preferred.
  • Excellent social skills, including oral and written communications.
  • Uses computer and/or PDA for work order system, email, and training.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance.
  • Completes maintenance and repairs, records as required.
  • Reviews assigned work orders and estimates time and materials needed to complete repairs.
  • Orders necessary materials and supplies to finish tasks.
  • Uses CMMS to manage work orders and track completion.
  • Leads troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems including plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, and HVAC/R.
  • Inspects new installations for compliance with building codes and safety laws.
  • Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC/R, and plumbing to ensure proper operation.
  • Oversees and inspects work performed by outside contractors.
  • Maintains the building lighting system, including repairs or replacements.
  • Maintains grounds of facility or property, performing tasks such as raking, sweeping, and snow removal.
  • Performs furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.
  • Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
  • Reports and communicates daily all work activity via PDA device.
