About The Position

The Mongolian Interpreter position is a freelance role focused on providing on-site interpretation services in healthcare and education settings. The role offers flexibility in scheduling and allows interpreters to choose their workload based on client needs, primarily serving clients in the Washington D.C., Northern Virginia, and Maryland areas.

Requirements

• Must possess valid U.S. work authorization.
• Must reside within the Washington D.C., Northern Virginia, or Maryland area.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have successfully completed or have intentions to complete a 40-hour Medical Interpreter Training Course.
• Pass an Oral Language Proficiency Test in both English and Mongolian.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in medical or educational interpretation.
• Additional language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person interpretation services for medical and educational clients.
• Travel to client locations as required for interpretation assignments.
