About the position

The Staff Technologist plays a crucial role in the operation of the MRI scanner and patient scheduling under the supervision of the MRI Site Supervisor and/or MRI Operations Manager. This position requires a blend of technical skills and communication abilities to ensure the safe and accurate operation of the MRI equipment while providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the MRI scanner safely and accurately.
  • Manage patient scheduling to ensure smooth operations.
  • Utilize technical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues with the MRI equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to MRI procedures.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a healthcare setting.
  • Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Outlook electronic communication system.
  • Experience with PACS systems.
  • Certificate/Diploma in Medical Imaging required.
  • MRI Registered Technologist with ARRT or ARMRIT required within 1 year of hire.
  • Radiologic Technology Licensure in the state of Massachusetts preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in an MRI setting preferred.
  • Associate's Degree in Medical Imaging preferred.
