About the position

As a New Logo Account Executive at Lucid Software, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic business growth for our innovative products, including Lucidchart, Lucidspark, and Lucidscale. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about visual collaboration and are eager to help teams transform their ideas into reality. You will be responsible for managing a designated territory, focusing on acquiring new customers and expanding our reach within existing accounts. Your expertise in the features and benefits of our product suite will be essential in demonstrating the value we bring to potential clients. In this role, you will engage directly with prospects and existing customers, utilizing your sales acumen to create business value across various personas. You will be expected to maintain a relentless hunter mentality, actively sourcing leads and identifying new opportunities. Your responsibilities will include generating and closing new pipeline across different business segments and verticals through various engagement methods such as cold calling, emailing, product demonstrations, negotiations, and marketing initiatives. You will also be tasked with sharing valuable market insights with our product and marketing teams, ensuring that we remain competitive and responsive to customer needs. Effective management of your book of accounts will be crucial, as you will need to create reliable forecasts and collaborate with management to close open pipeline opportunities to meet and exceed your sales quota. Creativity in penetrating new markets and verticals will be a key component of your success in this role, along with the ability to adapt to the dynamic nature of the tech industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge on the features, benefits, and application of Lucid suite offering
  • Understand the competitive landscape within their assigned book of business
  • Demonstrate a relentless hunter mentality to direct outbound lead sourcing
  • Identify new opportunities across net new and existing customers
  • Generate and close new pipeline across business segments and verticals through prospect engagements including cold calling, emailing, demos, negotiations, and marketing activities of the company
  • Share market insights with product and marketing teams
  • Effectively manage a book of accounts, creating reliable forecasts, and working with management to close open pipeline to achieve sales quota
  • Creativity penetrating new markets, verticals, and personas
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales closing experience in tech/SaaS (as an Account Executive or similar role)
  • 2+ years of sales experience in enterprise software

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to project manage complex sales cycles with internal stakeholders (business development, CSM, solution engineers)
  • Knowledge of cloud applications and complex SaaS solutions
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Skilled in prospecting, territory planning, and team-selling
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Expert user of sales enablement solutions (Salesforce, Outreach, etc.)
  • Detailed knowledge of and passion for SaaS applications
  • Strong technical background
  • Formal sales training
