About the position

The National Accounts Manager for the Natural Channel at Ocean Spray is a strategic role focused on developing and managing the company's natural channel business. This position involves direct interaction with key accounts, financial management, and collaboration with various teams to achieve sales objectives and drive profitable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the natural channel, creating and managing distributor and customer plans for assigned accounts.
  • Provide direct account interaction to understand customer needs and deliver value-added programs.
  • Implement tactical selling strategies and measure their success.
  • Manage financial aspects including trade budgets and deductions.
  • Achieve objectives and direct resources to meet company goals within deadlines.
  • Account for monthly forecasting, analyzing consumption and inventory positions.
  • Utilize regions and agents to ensure product distribution and merchandising.
  • Own Profit & Loss for assigned national accounts.
  • Develop the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the Natural channel in collaboration with finance and sales leadership.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Revenue Management, and commercialization teams to develop strategies for annual operating volume and profit plans.
  • Manage distributor relationships and financial management, including UNFI and KeHE.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with broker partners to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate broker performance through communication and performance reviews.
  • Analyze market trends and retailer data to identify growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience, with at least 3+ years in the Natural channel.
  • Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG).
  • Familiarity with Whole Foods and Sprouts.
  • Ability to influence and make sound decisions.
  • Trade fund management experience.
  • Experience with UNFI.
  • Proficient in sales forecasting.
  • Direct customer management experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
