About the position

Allen Lund Company is seeking a National Sales Manager to join our team. The National Sales Manager will work with the sales force within a branch office, focusing on non-asset based 3PL sales. This role involves contacting new customers, developing systems for effective prospect identification, and managing accounts. The position offers an opportunity to sell and represent a national top 20 3PL company, known for its outstanding customer service and commitment to the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Contact new customers and secure sales using unique skills and competencies.
  • Develop systems and processes for effective prospect identification, qualification, and management.
  • Sell and close new shippers.
  • Build a book of business.
  • Carry out strategies through prospect contact, proposal development, presentation, effective follow-up, and account management.
  • Work with transportation brokers to maximize the volume of loads from new customers through ongoing sales meetings and strategy sessions.
  • Uphold company standards following the principles of Customer, Company, Office.

Requirements

  • 5 year minimum non-asset based 3PL sales experience.
  • Bachelor Degree Required.
  • Experience in Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed, and/or LTL freight.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Effective at problem resolution.
  • Self-motivated and driven with an eagerness to work as a team player.
  • Able to work independently but also in a team environment.
  • Computer & technology literate.
  • Ability to travel as needed for sales.
