About the position

The position is responsible for providing field and office support for NEPA reports, wetlands and waters delineations, species surveys, and environmental permitting in Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize ArcGIS Pro software and collect data
  • Work in hot or cold field conditions for up to 10 hours per day
  • Complete reports using Microsoft Apps and Adobe Pro
  • Assist with delineation of wetlands according to USACE Regional Supplements
  • Prepare Jurisdictional Determination Packages for submittal to USACE
  • Provide input on solutions to problems using basic scientific knowledge and principles
  • Evaluate equipment and material
  • Maintain accurate and current project documentation
  • Enter data into systems
  • Assist with administrative duties

Requirements

  • Full-time, undergraduate student in natural resources, environmental science, biology or similar field

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with ArcGIS Pro and GNSS data collection
  • Basic knowledge of National Environmental Policy Act documentation
  • Basic knowledge of USACE 1987 Manual
  • Basic knowledge of species surveys
  • Previous internship experience
