The position is responsible for providing field and office support for NEPA reports, wetlands and waters delineations, species surveys, and environmental permitting in Texas.
Responsibilities
- Utilize ArcGIS Pro software and collect data
- Work in hot or cold field conditions for up to 10 hours per day
- Complete reports using Microsoft Apps and Adobe Pro
- Assist with delineation of wetlands according to USACE Regional Supplements
- Prepare Jurisdictional Determination Packages for submittal to USACE
- Provide input on solutions to problems using basic scientific knowledge and principles
- Evaluate equipment and material
- Maintain accurate and current project documentation
- Enter data into systems
- Assist with administrative duties
Requirements
- Full-time, undergraduate student in natural resources, environmental science, biology or similar field
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro and GNSS data collection
- Basic knowledge of National Environmental Policy Act documentation
- Basic knowledge of USACE 1987 Manual
- Basic knowledge of species surveys
- Previous internship experience
