About the position

SimVentions is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our team at NAVAIR Patuxent River, MD. This position is integral to our mission of providing innovative software solutions that support the U.S. military. As a Senior Software Developer, you will be responsible for researching, designing, and developing computer and network software or specialized utility programs. You will work as part of an integrated government team, performing software engineering tasks that include analysis, design, development, and testing of software. This role requires a strong background in software development, particularly in C++, C#, and Java, and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our clients. In this position, you will collaborate with other developers and stakeholders to ensure that software requirements are met and that the final products are robust and reliable. You will also be expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of our software development processes and practices. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and a desire to work in a dynamic and challenging environment where they can make a significant impact. This is a full-time, on-site position with no telework options available, and a Secret clearance is required for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform software engineering for analysis, design, development, and testing of software as part of an integrated government team.
  • Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
  • Collaborate with other developers and stakeholders to ensure software requirements are met.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes and practices.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience with C++, C#, and Java.
  • BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • A Secret Clearance is required for this position.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with software development in a corporate or governmental Software Development Environment.
  • Experience performing software requirements analysis, software design, software coding, software integration, and software testing.
