Assist in the preparation, planning, and execution of Nelnet Bank marketing and media programs and various types of projects by managing the day-to-day work and ensuring marketing programs are completed on time, on budget, compliantly, and in line with set goals.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day-to-day execution of effective marketing projects and campaigns across various marketing channels, including the Nelnet Bank marketing website, in pursuit of viable marketing qualified leads and outcomes for business growth and brand building.
  • Serve as a main point of contact between internal Nelnet Bank teams (including, but not limited to Technology, Product, Operations, Compliance, Accounting,) and external vendors and/or affiliates concerning communication around ongoing marketing activities.
  • Prepare creative briefs when necessary and lead kick offs for assigned marketing campaigns, lead generation activities, retention initiatives, sales enablement tools, and other projects as assigned.
  • Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and notes; track meeting takeaways and perform necessary follow through.
  • Establish project timelines by working closely with Marketing leadership and internal stakeholders to ensure key milestones are met and projects are delivered on time.

  • Assist the business development and operations team with onboarding new referral partners.
  • Review all creative and marketing work prior to stakeholder approval and external distribution for strategic direction, grammatical, technical and visual accuracy, and overall brand consistency.
  • Track, report, monitor, and evaluate the performance and results of campaigns, projects, and/or marketing communication plans utilizing Google Analytics and other necessary tracking and reporting tools; collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to obtain accurate performance marketing reports.
  • Assist in the creation and deployment of email and SMS marketing and customer nurturing campaigns via HubSpot.
  • Serve as first-line marketing compliance oversight by ensuring all consumer facing marketing materials are compliant by following a defined process of submitting work for compliance review/approval, documentation of all feedback, and documenting final files within Adobe Workfront.
  • Compile information, secondary research, and keep current on competitors, industry trends, and the media landscape.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in marketing, advertising, project management, or related field.
  • 2-4 years in marketing or equivalent position (account/product/vendor management).
  • Product knowledge of education loans a plus.
  • Experience with Smartsheets or similar project management tool, Jira ticketing systems, Adobe Workfront, search engine optimization strategies, Sprout Social for social media management, and Google Analytics preferred.
