About the position

At Freddie Mac, you will do important work to build a better housing finance system and you'll be part of a team helping to make homeownership and rental housing more accessible and affordable across the nation. Our constantly evolving Foundational Network Services Engineering department is in search of a Professional Automation Engineer with excellent time management skills and a proven track record of setting and meeting goals! We're looking for a candidate with Network Automation experience in large environments who can lead automation & development projects, handle workloads in a fast-paced environment and proactively ensure standard processes are crafted and implemented for our National Enterprise offices throughout the country!

Responsibilities

  • Provide network automation with the ability to think and execute proactively to ensure the scalability, stability and security of the platform.
  • Identify, Influence and Implement technology and processes to modernize our Infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with Network leadership to assure visible communication, risk reduction and accountability for the performance and stability of the Wireless network platforms.

Requirements

  • College Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in a Network Engineering role engaged with IP network technologies including LAN switching, BGP/OSPF routing, VPLS/MPLS, Quality of Service, traffic engineering, server load balancing and network-security design and delivery for large scale multi-site data center environments.
  • Demonstrated ability as a Network Automation Engineer applying Python, Ansible Tower or Automation Platform, SCM, CI/CD pipelines, testing & validation and visualization technologies.
  • Provide technical guidance, strong hands-on skills, develop design documents, perform product installation, upgrades and certification, implementation plan, deployment and troubleshooting support.
  • Partner with Architecture, Information Security and business areas to define technical solutions to complex business issues that align with target state architecture and conforms to corporate standard processes.
  • 5 years of experience with Automation and Design of Platforms such as Arista - Routers / Switches / AVD, Cisco WLC, DNACenter/Catalyst Center.
