SAIC has an exciting opportunity for a Network Architect in Colorado Springs, CO at Schriever Space Force Base (SSFB) supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Directorate for Ground Test (DTG).
Responsibilities
Assist the Network Operations Lead with the design, implementation, and support of LAN/WAN networks and systems
Assist the Network Operations Lead with the development and maintenance of network system and service configurations
Assist the Network Operations Lead with the remediation of STIGs and other network and system cybersecurity-related tasks
Document and troubleshoot network and system issues
Create and maintain network diagrams and documentation
Test and evaluate network systems and services to reduce problems and make improvements
Assist with the configuration, implementation, and utilization of network tools such as Cisco ISE, Wireshark and Opmanager
Assist with Network Design and Configuration standards for Cisco Routers/Switches and Palo Alto Firewalls
Infrequent travel (up to 5%) to support various hardware upgrades at remote sites and coordination with teammates in Huntsville, AL
Work infrequent night shifts (with sufficient prior notice) to support configuration changes
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in related field with fourteen (14) years of relevant experience. Six (6) years of equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Must possess an active Secret security clearance or have the ability to obtain one; US Citizenship required
Must have CompTIA Security+ or CISSP Certification
Must have CCNA or higher Cisco professional certification
Extensive experience with and knowledge of Cisco routing/switching design and configuration
