About the position

The Network Engineer position at Trace Systems Inc. involves designing and managing large-scale networking infrastructures to support enterprise-wide requirements. The role requires ensuring compliance with various standards and protocols while providing supervision and direction to staff. The engineer will also be responsible for change management processes, inventory management, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes network information requirements through analysis for enterprise-wide networking infrastructure (CAN, MAN, WAN).
  • Designs architecture including software, hardware, and communications to meet current and future requirements.
  • Ensures network systems comply with open systems architectures and relevant standards.
  • Evaluates workflow and network usage to develop corrective actions.
  • Provides daily supervision and direction to staff.
  • Develops and ensures efficient application of change, configuration, and release management processes.
  • Conducts inventory/procurement management and software update tracking.
  • Writes and updates technical documents, procedures, TTP, SOPs, etc.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

  • An active, in-scope US Government issued Secret/SSBI clearance.
  • US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of direct experience in the last ten years.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate certification is required.
  • DoD 8570 IAT II certified (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent).

Nice-to-haves

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional certification.
  • ITIL-Foundations certification.
