About the position
Kforce has a client looking for a Network Engineer to work in Manhattan. The position involves configuring and replacing network switches at various locations, including a main hospital and remote sites. The role requires both onsite and remote work, with a focus on after-hours migrations.
Responsibilities
- Gain configuration information from the Juniper switches
- Onsite to open box and configure Arista switches
- Onsite at main hospital and remote locations to perform the replacement of Juniper switches with Arista switches
- Migrations are performed after hours on the weekend and weekdays
- Total hours per week 35 with 8 hours after hours (Saturday - 4 hours, Sunday - 4 hours)
- Ability to configure Arista switches via CloudVision using Studio
Requirements
- Experience in a similar role or significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed
- Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Arista switch configuration via Studio (CloudVision)
- Familiarity with specific Arista switch models: 722XPM-48ZY8-2F, 720XP-48ZC2-2F, 7050SX3-48YC8-F
- Experience with Juniper switch models: MX4300, MX4600, MX10003
