Known for our customer service and quality products, Auer Steel has been operating since 1940. We are currently hiring a Network Engineer to work in our Milwaukee, WI location. This position is best suited for an organized, responsible, and detail-oriented individual who is looking for a career within a well-established company.
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 support for the IT Support Specialists
- Document, maintain and publish IT standard operating procedures and best practices
- Proactively monitor, troubleshoot and report on status of network infrastructure
- Responsible for network security and related equipment
- Maintain network efficiency and optimization
- Disaster recovery planning and preparation testing
- Propose products and projects to increase business efficiency and productivity
- Stay current with system information, changes and updates
- Work with other business units on projects
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned
Requirements
- Customer service focused mindset
- Leadership, training, and team supervisory experience
- VMware environment support experience
- Fortigate, Cisco, Palo Alto or similar firewall experience
- 5+ years of experience implementing and supporting windows network environments
- Office 365 administrator experience
- Azure Network Engineer certification preferred but not required
