Network Engineer

ASSA ABLOY AB is looking for an experienced IT Network Engineer to join our team in Liljeholmen, Stockholm. As an IT Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our network infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing network systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business needs and IT operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize network infrastructure, including switching network design, routing, firewall configurations, and VPN gateways.
• Ensure network security and compliance, conducting risk assessments, assisting in audits, and maintaining security best practices.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, including WiFi connectivity, IP Address Management (IPAM), and log aggregation strategies (e.g., NetFlow).
• Configure and maintain network hardware, such as Cisco switches and Palo Alto firewalls, ensuring optimal security and efficiency.
• Collaborate and mentor, working with system administrators, cybersecurity teams, and junior engineers while engaging with stakeholders to align network solutions with business needs.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in network management, including switching, routing, and firewall administration.
• Strong understanding of common network services such as DHCP, DNS, NTP, and SNTP.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco switches (upgrades, configuration, security) and a solid understanding of routing protocols.
• Experience with WiFi management and troubleshooting, ensuring reliable network connectivity.
• Ability to monitor and diagnose network performance issues (e.g., using NetFlow).
• Fluency in English and good understanding of Swedish.

Nice-to-haves

• Active Directory, Infoblox/SolarWinds, and Cisco certifications are valued.
• Expertise in IPAM, change management, log aggregation, VPN gateways, SD-WAN, and Palo Alto firewalls.
