About the position

The Engineer IT Infrastructure Engineering contributes to the design, engineering, implementation, deployment, documentation, testing, and ongoing capacity planning of infrastructure solutions, such as hardware, networks, software and systems configuration solutions. The Engineer IT Infrastructure Engineering is an experienced individual contributor within a project/work team with advanced knowledge of job area. The Engineer IT Infrastructure Engineering may provide general guidance, direction and/or training to entry-level professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Creates processes and templates for infrastructure implementations.
  • Create and implement network designs in support of IHG hotels and infrastructure.
  • Provides solution documentation in support of operational readiness, may include training, process development and explanation of standards.
  • Creates and set standards for hardware, networking, software and configuration management.
  • Evaluates the impact of proposed or required changes (internally and by vendors) especially in the areas of hardware, networking, software, performance, maintenance and cost; provide recommendations to management with an impact assessment.
  • Serves as an escalation point for operations (Tier 3 support) for complex solution resolution, and contributes to root cause analysis (may involve on call rotation).
  • May contribute to proofs of concept for technology solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in multiple disciplines and technologies related to infrastructure solutions.
  • Proficient in implementing and maintaining global integrated infrastructure, with knowledge of networking, operating systems and applications.
  • Familiar with project management lifecycle, network and device monitoring and management.
  • Knowledgeable in network protocols (TCP/IP), monitoring tools, and voice technologies (Genesys, IVR), including call recording platforms.
