Network Security Engineer SME

About the position

We are seeking a skilled network engineer with advanced experience in firewall technologies and network automation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Cisco ASA and FortiGate firewalls, as well as experience with Cisco Catalyst and Forti Switches. This role involves developing and executing a comprehensive migration plan for firewall systems, ensuring that new configurations meet or exceed the functionality of existing systems. The candidate will also be responsible for testing the new firewall's functionality and security policies to prevent disruptions during the transition.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive migration plan, including vendor selection, current state analysis, and transition strategies.
• Configure the new firewall, ensuring it mirrors or improves upon the functionality of the old firewall.
• Thoroughly test the new firewall's functionality and security policies to ensure they meet requirements and prevent disruptions.
• Execute the migration plan, including the cutover process, and manage any issues that arise during the transition.

Requirements

• Advanced experience with Cisco ASA and FortiGate firewalls.
• Advanced experience with Cisco Catalyst Switches and Forti Switches.
• Advanced experience with Wi-Fi technologies.
• Advanced experience with IPv4 and IPv6.
• Experience working with IP Telephony/VoIP networks, SIP.
• Experience with AWS Cloud Networking.
• Experience with network automation on both cloud and physical solutions.
