About the position

The Emergency Veterinary Hospital & Specialty Center in Eugene-Springfield, Oregon is seeking a pioneering neurologist to join our highly experienced 24/7 emergency veterinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a brand new 12,000+ square foot facility equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including a Toshiba 128 slice CT, ultrasound, and digital x-ray modalities. Our facility is designed to provide cutting-edge care to our patients, and we are looking for a specialist who can grow with us in our neurology service expansion. As a neurologist at our center, you will collaborate closely with our long-time Medical Director, Dr. Max Rinaldi, and our experienced Hospital Administrator, Dave Berg, to build out the practice of your dreams. We are partnering with the Lakefield Veterinary Group to enhance our specialty offerings and improve the level of care in our area, working directly with over 50+ referring general practice hospitals. With over 40 years of experience, we have been the longest tenured provider of emergency and critical care services in the South Willamette Valley, serving over 10,000 patients annually. This position offers a very competitive base salary, a monthly production bonus with no negative accrual, and a generous sign-on bonus along with relocation assistance. Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized neurological care to veterinary patients.
  • Collaborate with the medical team to develop treatment plans.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures including CT scans and ultrasounds.
  • Educate pet owners on neurological conditions and treatment options.
  • Participate in the expansion of the neurology service at the facility.
  • Work closely with referring general practice hospitals to enhance patient care.

Requirements

  • Valid DEA Certification license.
  • Experience in veterinary neurology.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency environment.
  • Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
