About the position
Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Neurology Department in Cooperstown, NY. This position is part of a progressive, academic health system that serves a diverse population across an eight-county region in Central New York. The successful candidate will be joining an established group of neurologists and will primarily focus on outpatient care, providing treatment for a variety of general neurology cases. These cases may include post-stroke care, headache management, seizure disorders, neuropathies, Parkinson's disease, and dementia. The role is completely clinic-based, allowing for a structured work schedule of Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with no call, weekends, or holidays required. The candidate will work closely with attending neurologists and will have the opportunity to assist in outpatient electromyography (EMG) procedures, as well as seeing general neurology patients in the clinic. The use of Epic EMR across the network ensures streamlined patient care and documentation. The compensation for this role ranges from $104,040 to $130,000, depending on qualifications and experience, along with a generous sign-on bonus of up to $50,000. Responsibilities
- Join an established group of Neurologists.
- Provide outpatient care for a variety of general neurology cases including post-stroke, headache, seizure disorder, neuropathies, Parkinson's, and dementia.
- Assist in outpatient electromyography (EMG) procedures as needed.
- Collaborate closely with attending neurologists.
- Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and care management.
Requirements
- National certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
- New York State licensure.
- BLS certification required.
- DEA certification required.
