About the position
The New Home Quality Reviewer position involves evaluating newly built homes from a customer's perspective to identify defects in workmanship, quality, completeness, consistency, and professionalism. This part-time role requires conducting quality reviews at construction sites, submitting reports electronically, and ensuring thoroughness and reliability in each evaluation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct quality reviews of newly built homes to identify defects.
- Drive to construction sites and perform evaluations on scheduled days.
- Submit reports electronically upon completion of each review.
- Enter review results online using a personal tablet while on-site.
Requirements
- Residential construction experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to recognize defects in a home from a buyer's viewpoint.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on thoroughness and consistency.
- Reliable and able to work unsupervised while meeting deadlines.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience as a General Contractor, Superintendent, or Project Manager.
- Familiarity with punch list writing or general QC/QA principles.
- Background in home renovation or remodeling.
- Experience with fit and finish reviews or warranty walkthroughs with homeowners.
