About the position

The New Home Quality Reviewer position is a part-time role focused on evaluating newly constructed homes from a customer's perspective. The primary responsibility is to identify defects in workmanship, quality, completeness, consistency, and professionalism during quality reviews. Each review takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours to complete, and the role requires driving to various construction sites to conduct these evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality reviews of newly built homes to identify defects in workmanship and quality.
• Drive to construction sites to perform scheduled reviews.
• Submit reports electronically on-site upon completion of each review.
• Enter review results online using a personal tablet while on the job site.

Requirements

• Residential construction experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to recognize defects in a home from a buyer's viewpoint.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on thoroughness and consistency.
• Reliable and able to work unsupervised while maintaining quality standards.
• Familiarity with mobile devices and ability to troubleshoot minor technical issues.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience as a General Contractor, Superintendent, or Project Manager.
• Familiarity with punch list writing or general QC/QA principles.
• Background in home renovation or remodeling.
• Experience with fit and finish reviews or warranty walkthroughs with homeowners.
