The New Product Engineering Manager at NextEra Analytics is responsible for leading and growing a team of software engineers to develop and implement innovative software products in the renewable energy sector. This role involves overseeing all phases of product development, from concept to production, while providing technical leadership and strategic direction. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement in product development processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of high-performing software engineers.
• Oversee all phases of product development from initial concept through to production release.
• Collaborate with product teams and business stakeholders to execute the product roadmap.
• Provide technical leadership in the design and development of new products.
• Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Measure the impact of the team and set clear expectations and goals.
• Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives in product development processes.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• 8+ years of software engineering work experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory/management experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing technical teams, including performance management.
• Familiarity with cloud computing, primarily AWS.
• Exposure to CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code processes.
