About The Position

The NOC Shift Caregiver at Sunnyside Meadows Memory Care is responsible for providing essential care and support to residents, ensuring their well-being and safety. This role requires a compassionate individual who can effectively communicate with residents and their families while adhering to the community's values and culture. The caregiver will assist with daily living activities, maintain cleanliness, and report any changes in residents' conditions to the appropriate supervisors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
• First Aid Certification as required by state.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.
• Basic computer skills for medication administration and documentation.
• Ability to lift or transfer residents, potentially over 100 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in caregiving or working with the elderly is a plus.
• Leadership qualities and supervisory skills are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Act as a brand ambassador for Sunnyside Meadows, communicating its values and culture.
• Fulfill daily, weekly, and monthly job checklist duties.
• Monitor residents' alert status and report any changes to supervisors.
• Document communication reports accurately and timely.
• Follow and update residents' service plans as care needs change.
• Assist residents with personal care needs including bathing, dressing, and hygiene.
• Provide dining room service including setup, taking orders, and serving meals.
• Support residents in attending scheduled activities and appointments.
• Manage residents' incontinent supplies and maintain cleanliness in their apartments.
• Perform housekeeping duties such as dusting, sweeping, and cleaning bathrooms.
• Maintain assigned equipment in good condition and report any issues to management.
• Respond to call lights and assist residents as needed.
