About the position
The Center Director at Discovery World Learning Center is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the daycare center, ensuring a nurturing and educational environment for children. This role requires strong leadership, professionalism, and a commitment to child development, as well as effective management of staff, family relations, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage staffing, supervision, and scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with Child Care Licensing, Texas Rising Star, and Child & Adult Care Food Program standards and record-keeping.
- Conduct tours for prospective families and handle inquiries.
- Lead regular staff meetings and encourage collaboration.
- Manage billing, tuition collection, and financial records.
- Supervise classroom programs and evaluate effectiveness.
- Maintain enrollment and children's records in compliance with regulations.
- Train and supervise staff, ensuring training requirements are met.
- Maintain facility cleanliness and monitor safety.
Requirements
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in childcare.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with business procedures and record-keeping.
- First Aid and Infant CPR certifications (within 90 days).
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle crises effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
