About the position

Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide primary health care and street medicine services in a grant-funded role. This part-time position requires 20 hours per week, with the possibility of increasing to 24 hours. The role offers a flexible schedule, including day and evening shifts. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience and must have successfully completed an accredited nurse practitioner program or graduated from a bachelor's or master's degree program that includes a nurse practitioner component. Current licensure in Massachusetts is required, along with the maintenance of a DEA number and registration with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to prescribe controlled substances. Knowledge of a second language is preferred, enhancing the ability to serve our diverse patient population effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary health care services to patients in various settings.
  • Deliver street medicine services to underserved populations.
  • Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans.
  • Prescribe medications and manage treatment plans in accordance with state regulations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in community outreach and public health initiatives.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Completion of an accredited nurse practitioner program.
  • Current Massachusetts licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Maintenance of a DEA number and Mass. DPH registration to prescribe controlled substances.
