About The Position

Gastro Health is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their established care center in Pensacola, Florida. This role focuses on providing outpatient care in gastroenterology, with an emphasis on collaboration, stability, and support for personal and professional growth. Requirements

• Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Florida.
• Certification as an NP or PA with prescriptive authority.
• 3-5 years of advanced practice acute-care experience preferred.
• GI experience preferred.
• Ability to build strong working relationships with other providers and the care team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outpatient consults and follow-ups in the care center from Monday to Friday.
• Perform Bravo placements and participate in research trials.
• Coordinate treatment plans for patients under the supervision of physicians.
• Order, interpret, and make diagnoses of lab tests and imaging scans.
• Record progress notes, instruct and counsel patients, and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Write and refill prescriptions appropriate for diagnosis.
• Review patient results, including pathology.
• Perform other duties related to the specialty of gastroenterology as assigned.
