Responsibilities

• Perform medical diagnosis and prescribe therapeutic measures in collaboration with attending physicians and residents.
• Enhance continuity of quality patient care and communication between the physician, family members, and healthcare team.
• Lead quality and evidence-based care initiatives to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform clinical procedures as outlined by department requirements.

Requirements

• Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program required.
• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) required.
• Licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP).
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• ATLS certification within 1 year from start of employment.
• Two years of Nurse Practitioner experience strongly preferred.
• A minimum of two years nursing experience in a specific clinical area preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Additional certifications specific to specialty may be required or preferred.
• Certification as a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to gain credentials for C-Sections within 1 year of employment.
