About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and support to our patients. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping others and making a difference in the lives of patients. In this role, you will assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, while also monitoring and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. You will assist with patient mobility and transfers, provide emotional support to patients and their families, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. Additionally, you will administer medications under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician, perform basic medical procedures such as phlebotomy and sterile processing, assist with gastric lavage procedures, and provide care for patients with behavioral health conditions. You will also work with individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring that each patient receives the highest quality of care possible.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited nursing assistant program
  • Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
