The Nursing Operations Manager at UF Health Leesburg Hospital plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of patient access and flow within the facility. This position is responsible for facilitating all aspects of patient access, which includes managing direct admissions, post-operative placements, Emergency Department admissions, observation patients, and all hospital transfers. The Nursing Operations Manager will coordinate and implement the Hospital Demand Capacity Plan and overcapacity plan as necessary to expedite and maintain patient flow and optimal throughput. This role serves as a clinical consultant and liaison for UF Health Leesburg Patient Placement, ensuring that all patient needs are met efficiently and effectively. In addition to overseeing patient access, the Nursing Operations Manager will provide direct oversight of Nursing Supervisors, Sitters, and Float Pool staff and operations. This includes managing campus nursing deployments, which encompasses equipment management, large-scale education initiatives, and process changes to improve operational efficiency.
