The Nutrition Services Aide at St. Luke's plays a crucial role in the foodservice department, ensuring that patients receive their meals in a timely and efficient manner. This position involves a variety of responsibilities that contribute to the overall patient experience and satisfaction. The aide is tasked with preparing, setting, and serving food according to established guidelines, ensuring that all meals are delivered at the correct temperatures and portion sizes. The aide will also be responsible for performing minor food preparation tasks, which may include portioning food and preparing snacks and breaks for patients. In addition to food preparation, the Nutrition Services Aide will deliver and retrieve patient trays, ensuring that all items are accurately assembled and meet the nutritional requirements of each patient. This role requires the aide to utilize established patient identifiers to guarantee safety and accuracy in meal delivery. The aide will also assist patients with their meals, ensuring that trays are positioned correctly and that any additional items are provided as needed. After meals, the aide is responsible for picking up soiled trays and returning them to the kitchen for proper cleaning and storage.
