About the position

The Shorefront YM-YWHA of Brighton Manhattan Beach is seeking a dedicated and multilingual Community Outreach Coordinator to enhance collaborations with various community groups in South Brooklyn. This role is pivotal in identifying local residents of all ages who may be eligible for public cash benefits that they are currently not receiving. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing outreach strategies, building relationships with local organizations, and ensuring that community members are informed about available resources. The position requires a proactive approach to community engagement, with a focus on fostering partnerships with public school parent coordinators, private schools, charter schools, and other local organizations. The outreach coordinator will play a crucial role in connecting individuals and families with essential services, thereby contributing to the overall well-being of the community. In addition to outreach efforts, the coordinator will be expected to conduct informational sessions, workshops, and community events to raise awareness about public benefits. This position offers the opportunity to work in a vibrant environment that serves a diverse population, particularly within the largest Russian-speaking community in North America. Responsibilities
