About the position

The O&M Financial Analyst at Holtec Palisades is responsible for overseeing the operating and maintenance budget, financial controls, and processes at the Palisades Nuclear Plant in Covert, MI. This role is crucial in providing financial guidance, analysis, and reporting to help achieve budget targets while supporting the plant's unique mission of restarting after decommissioning.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the site's operating and maintenance (O&M) budget and financial controls.
• Provide expert financial advice to support decision-making regarding the O&M spending plan.
• Monitor and analyze financial results, identifying risks and opportunities that may impact profitability.
• Ensure accurate and timely execution of all financial activities at the site.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop O&M budgets aligned with operational requirements and company objectives.
• Work cross-functionally to gather information vital for successful completion of deliverables.
• Employ financial modeling and analytical skills to support ad hoc analysis and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience.
• 2-4 years of business experience in accounting, finance, project development, or related fields.
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision or within a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to create solutions.
• Ability to understand and solve complex financial transactions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Significant knowledge of financial theory and valuation.
