About the position

The Occupational Therapist position is focused on providing specialized therapy services to children aged 0-3 years within the Infant Child Development (ICD) program. The role involves assessing and addressing delays or deficits in various developmental areas, including daily living activities, neuromuscular skills, sensory integration, cognitive abilities, and psychosocial development. The therapist will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing therapy services, as well as educating and consulting with families throughout the treatment process.

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy services to patients aged 0-3 years in the ICD program.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' needs and abilities.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
  • Deliver and document therapy services effectively.
  • Educate and consult with patients and families regarding therapy processes and goals.
  • Plan for discharge and transition of patients from therapy services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Kansas Occupational Therapy License.
  • Valid Kansas Driver's License.
  • Basic Life Support certification from either American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Health Care Provider or American Heart Association-Health Care Provider, to be completed within the first 90 days of employment.
  • One year of experience in pediatric occupational therapy preferred.
