About the position

The Part Time Title Clerk at ADESA Reno is responsible for processing incoming vehicle titles to ensure their transferability to buyers efficiently and accurately. This role involves customer service, handling title-related inquiries, and maintaining compliance with DMV laws and regulations. The Title Clerk will work closely with the Office Manager and contribute to a positive work environment while ensuring all title transactions are completed correctly.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure customers receive prompt, efficient, and courteous attention.
  • Notify Office Manager of any unresolved title challenges.
  • Handle incoming calls from dealer representatives regarding title issues or questions.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and orderly work environment.
  • Provide prompt and courteous service to customers at the sale.
  • Resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner and inform the Office Manager of serious complaints.
  • Verify incoming titles against AMS, MV50's, and other paperwork for accuracy.
  • Ensure titles are delivered to purchasing dealers and filed appropriately.
  • Pull reports and maintain updated notes on outstanding problem titles.
  • Process payments for dealers and provide receipts.
  • Maintain knowledge of DMV laws and regulations related to vehicle titles.
  • Promote teamwork and set a good personal example of attitude and performance.
  • Respond to employee and customer accidents, injuries, and property loss, reporting incidents to the Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience in title processing and accounts receivable preferred but not required.
  • Title experience at a dealership or auction highly preferred but not required.
  • Excellent customer service skills are required.
  • Cash handling skills are required.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English with high attention to detail.
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be qualified to operate a motor vehicle.
