About the position

The Office Manager for Hematology at Mayo Clinic is responsible for managing operations within a multidisciplinary administrative support team. The Office Manager will lead projects, provide daily leadership and mentoring to staff, and analyze operational improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage operations for a multidisciplinary administrative support team within a department/division/section/unit.
  • Serve as a key member of the leadership team, focusing on planning and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Identify and analyze operational improvement opportunities and implement changes.
  • Lead and facilitate department projects including analysis, problem solving, and collaboration.
  • Ensure adherence to institutional and departmental policies, procedures, and quality expectations.
  • Provide daily leadership, task direction, and mentoring to staff.
  • Accountable for appropriate staffing and workload management.
  • Prepare and present information using multiple communication platforms.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in administrative, business, or medical-related program with five years' management experience, or a bachelor's degree with three years' management experience, or a high school diploma with seven years' management experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple disciplines.
  • Demonstrated skills in change management, team building, conflict management, and process improvement.
  • High-level skills in interpersonal relations, customer service, and organization.
